Today, I had the honour of cutting the sod for the construction of a new Fire Service Station for the Municipal Fire Service (GNFS). This important project marks a significant step in strengthening our municipality's emergency response capacity and ensuring the safety and protection of our people.

The ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including the representatives of Nana Dr. Sasu IV, Awosohene of Akyem Kotoku, the Regional Fire Officer of the GNFS, the Municipal Fire Officer and his team.

I expressed my deep appreciation to Dr. Nana Sasu IV (Awosohene of Akyem Kotoku) for his substantial support toward the development of the Birim Central Municipality through his funding of this important project. I also urged other individuals and institutions to leverage their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to help provide more essential amenities for the municipality.

I emphasized the critical role the new station will play in improving response times, supporting fire prevention education and safeguarding lives and property.

As construction begins, we look forward to delivering a modern, well-equipped Fire Service Station that will serve the municipality efficiently for many years to come. This initiative reflects our dedication to promoting safety, development and resilience across the municipality.
