Today, I joined the Municipal Agriculture Director and his team on the field visit to Yeboahkrom to inspect the ongoing maize plantation project by the Birim Central Municipal Assembly under the Feed Ghana Initiative. The purpose of the visit was to observe firsthand the progress of work and review the current state of the crops

During the inspection, the Agric Directorate provided detailed updates on the stages of cultivation, the condition of the crops and the interventions being implemented to boost productivity.

I emphasized the Government's continued commitment to strengthening food security and increasing domestic production. I also encouraged the youth to actively participate in agriculture as a viable avenue for reducing unemployment within the country.

This exercise underscores our collective resolve to promote sustainable agriculture and contribute significantly to the national goal of ensuring food sufficiency through the Feed Ghana initiative.
